i was too tired to blog last night.
yesterday was tournament of champions (marching band competition). woke up about 8:45. ate breakfast. got up the school and we started rehearsal at about 10 am. we managed to improve a bit during the hour of practice. at 11:00 we went into the school to eat and change into our uniforms. a lot of the band (including me) went down to the cafeteria to buy food. they were having a debate tournament in the school so they had a concession stand set up. i don't think they were prepared for such a large influx of people. i laughed. matt bought a $1 soda and payed w/ a $20 even though he had 3 $1's. it was comical. they didn't have change. he had to wait for more people to pay so that the people could give him change. we left the school on the buses at 12:00. the bus ride was boring since we weren't allowed to talk during it. good thing it was only a short ride to standridge. after we got there we stood around until it was time to warm up. yeah, it was exciting. at 1:00 we warmed up then we performed at 1:45. we did ok. we did make it into finals, though we were last place in finals, 10th. after that we changed out of our uniforms in the parking lot. yeah, dropping my pants in a parking lot is fun. then we went up into the stands and watched bands. talked about stuff. yep. fun. we had to warm up again at 6:15 to get ready for finals. i did not enjoy getting back into my uniform. our finals performance wasn't that great. we stayed 10th. i'm still pretty happy with what we did. the first time we marched our entire show was friday. we changed tons of stuff this week. mr. huff said that we had worked harder than any other band he'd ever had in one week. after that we had to keep our uniforms on. sux0rs. we sat in the stands and watched the rest of the bands in finals. i've hurt my neck somehow. i dunno what i did, but it just started being screwy a few days ago. anyway, i had moved my head an odd way and it hurt. morgan rubbed my neck. fealt better. mad props to her. after that megan gave me chocolate pudding. yum. all of us ended up sharing it. then we went home. heh. after that me and ross went to wendys for late night food. btw, props to ross for loading and unloading the accursed band truck so often. sux0red for him. he didn't get to hang out w/ us much because of that.
now i'm sitting here blogging (ah dur dur). got up at 1 pm today. sleep is fun. ate frosted mini wheats. that's about it. btyl.
