today (well, technically yesterday) was a crappy day.


thanks to troy, lance, and aka (oh, and hackey-sack) for helping me keep a smile on my face almost to the very end.

i can't wait until i move into my (and ross's) new apartment. a couple of months of sleeping on a friend's couch (although it is a comfortable couch) kinda makes you appreciate having a place of your own.

it's gonna be great.

it's amazing how little things can give you such great perspective on bigger things.

(and, in this particular instance, by things i mean circumstances)

for all you EVA fans out there, this is from some commentary i was reading about episode 1 (specifically refering to the picture that shinji has of misato that he looks at while at the payphone):


"Reichu: As you can see, the gargantuan nature of Misato's bust is emphasized early on. Strange as it may seem, breasts are actually of incredible thematic importance in NGE.

HeWhoPostsStuff: As opposed to that multitude of anime titles in which breasts are NOT of "incredible thematic importance"? :P

Reichu: Well, amazingly enough, NGE doesn't use them merely for fan service... One of the many items that will be covered as we go through the series."
