w00t.

i just typed w00t for the first time in a long time in a conversation i'm currently having.

it felt good.
Ok, so yeah, update on me. I’m currently at someone else’s house eating their food and using their bandwidth. I’m house-sitting for some people from my church while they’re in Chicago. They have two dogs that I am in charge of, one that is incredibly chill and one that is incredibly hyper. It’s good times. I’ll be here through Saturday morning, and then I shall return to the apartment.

Not a whole lot has been going on, just been hanging out with the guys from time to time. We saw Superman Returns Wednesday night. It was pretty good. It was a fun movie, anyway. We’ve made some progress on the New America. We haven’t gotten as far as I had hoped we would, but the first episode should be out relatively soon. It probably won’t go too far as a series simply due to the future schedules and locations of 2/3’s of the cast. That’s ok though, it’ll be fun while it lasts.

Oh, one of the things that I meant to blog about but didn’t:
I went with Michael and Troy a few weeks ago to see Murder by Death at the Gypsy Tea Room. Mid-West indie rock with a cello. (Shut up, I can use sentence fragments if I want to). They were pretty damn kickin’. In fact, they were rocking so hard at the end of the concert that the cello player broke her bow right in half. Yeah, it was that kind of cello playing. Anyway, check them out if you get the chance.

Anyway, I’m hoping I can do something tonight because I am bored to tears. THE END.

i've missed so many good opportunities to blog that if they were blogged now none of them would really have much meaning...

oh well. maybe i'll sum it all up later. maybe i can start blogging about things when it's prudent to do so. let's hope so.

so... NIN concert.

It was amazing. I couldn't have asked for better second Nine Inch Nails concert experience. I'm really glad that the first one I went to was the show last year at the AA Center. It was a much more subdued, intellectual experience. Everyone in the pit was fairly chill and just watched and listened. It gave me a chance to just absorb the music.

This time around was quite different--the pit was crazy. Definately the most raucous mosh pit I've ever been in, and from what I hear, it was the most raucous of the recent shows in the area, this year and last. Like I said, I'm very glad this was my second concert. It was a very different experience and it was ridiculously awesome. Trent was, of course, great. The rest of the band were also rockin'. I also met some great people before the show (because intelligent conversation was impossible after it had started). I really appreciate them because I had gone a long time without meeting any cool, new people. Great stuff.

Anyway, I'm leaving to go see V for Vendetta in the dollar movies (it's a great movie btw). peace up, a-town.
