Now that's what I call doctor assisted homicide!

Good times have been the norm as of late.

A few weeks ago we had a tiki party at the house. It went well. There was much drinking and merriment.

Last week I went with my roommates to see Murder By Death in concert. Great band and definitely worth checking out if you're unfamiliar with them. I especially recommend their album Who Will be Left and What Will Become of Them. It's a concept album about a small Mexican town's literal battle with the Devil. I had seen them once before the last time they were in Dallas and it was a great show. Dios and Gasoline Heart opened for them, both of which put on great performances.

This last weekend was A-Kon 19. The usual crew and I actually had a room booked at the hotel which made the experience that much more awesome. We had an awesome Team Fortress 2 cosplay group going: me as the medic, Phil as the scout, Aka as the engineer, and Michael as the spy. What was even more awesome was the sheer number of TF2 people there. I would estimate the total number at somewhere between 30-40. All were very cool people and a lot of fun to hang out with. On a related note, we helped set a Guinness World Record for the most people dressed as video game characters in one place. The previous record was set in London with 80 people, and we gathered somewhere around 690 people if I'm not mistaken. Awesome. Also, while waiting for the group photo, the Orange Box people (TF2 and Portal) had a rumble with the Final Fantasy people. Very good times. Other highlights of the con was the live Rocky Horror performance and the ridiculous late night rave.

I had no idea how much fun it would be to carry around a giant bonesaw. Seriously, try it sometime.
